Talk: Psychological Safety and a New “We” – Keys to Well-Being and Stress Prevention

How do we create workplaces and communities where everyone feels safe, seen, and heard? This talk focuses on psychological safety as the foundation for well-being and performance. We delve into the concept of ethnic minority stress and the challenges it may bring, while exploring how we can collectively build an inclusive “we” that empowers both individuals and communities. The talk provides practical tools and perspectives to promote well-being and prevent stress in a diverse world.

Workshop:  From Intention to Action – Overcoming Barriers to Inclusion and Diversity

Recent findings show that up to 44% of individuals struggle to implement the knowledge and training they’ve received on inclusion and diversity. The greatest challenge often lies not in a lack of understanding, but in the difficulty of translating that understanding into action. Many organizations find that good intentions and strong values are not enough to drive real change.

This workshop tackles the hidden barriers that hinder progress: uncertainty, feelings of overwhelm, and resistance to adopting new routines and habits. Together, we’ll explore these challenges and provide participants with practical tools to create cultural change and integrate inclusion into everyday practices.

Join us on a journey from intention to action – and let’s build environments where diversity and inclusion thrive naturally.

Talk: Allyship and Inclusive Colleaguehood – From Strategy to Everyday Action

What does allyship truly mean in daily life? And how do we move from strategy to action? In this talk, we’ll bridge the gap between theory and practice, exploring how allyship can transform workplace culture and foster inclusive relationships.

My approach is simple and easy to implement: we shift the focus to a “WE” by actively supporting one another as allies. You’ll walk away with a toolkit of practical, actionable advice on how to be an ally in your everyday interactions, helping to create strong, supportive communities in the workplace.

Join us to learn how small, intentional steps can make a big difference and help you bring your workplace’s diversity and inclusion strategies to life.

Esben Elholm Madsen Ph.d., Head of Culture and Environment I Brøndby IF

“At Brøndby IF, psychological safety and well-being have always been a priority, but this collaboration has truly highlighted the vital role inclusion plays in our environment. The workshops provided us with unique insights into minority stress and our players’ experiences—something we couldn’t have uncovered on our own. They offered new perspectives on racism, inclusion, and well-being, setting an important agenda within the club. This process has been invaluable in helping us understand what it truly means to be a player from Vestegnen with a minority background.”

Benedicte Hvidberg, Talent Acquisition Manager i Sovino Brands

“Our collaboration with Uzma Ahmed allowed us to engage two of our restaurants in a pilot project that provided space to explore and address the barriers we face in promoting inclusion within our organization. This partnership emphasized that fostering inclusivity is not just a goal but an ongoing process that requires continuous attention and commitment from both leadership and employees.”

Astrid Cohr LĂźtzen, Responsible for Event- and Sustainability at Lederne

“Inclusion and well-being are important to us, even though we don’t have specific indications of challenges in our workplace. That’s why we joined the project—to shed light on any potential, unseen issues and gain new perspectives. The workshops have been thought-provoking and sparked the idea of a staff-driven diversity committee. The collaboration with Foreningen Lige Adgang has given us direction and strengthened our focus on inclusion, even though we’re still in the early stages of the process.”
