Hi, i’m Uzma

Mediator and Facilitator of a new ‘We’

The first time I experienced the impact of mediation was by observing my mother, who is an active community builder to this day as a senior citizen. She and her fellow volunteers invited lawyers to inform minority women about domestic violence and their legal rights while they were treated by beauticians. I was only 13, but understood how linking hard knowledge with self care created a neural connection, making it matter and last.Ā

Reading and understanding verbal and non verbal language was at the core of my studies at the Copenhagen Business School, as Translator and Interpreter of legal, technical and business language in 2002.Ā

I have had the chance to merge my voluntary interest in community building with my professional work with DIEB in larger NGOs, private housing companies and political organisations as a development consultant leading cultural change and equality.Ā

Based on my 20 years of professional experience on both practical and theoretical levels within the field, I have summed up my methodology in the step-by-step process for teams and organisations. I call itĀ  ā€˜Transformative Culture’.Ā

I’m looking forward to be of service – making it matter – when values are at stake!
